NOTICE OF PLACE AND DATES
OF REGISTRATION

In compliance with the provisions of K.S.A. 25-2310 and K.S.A. 25-2311(a), notice is hereby given that the books for registration of voters will be open at the following places during regular business hours: Ottawa City Hall , Ottawa City Library, Pomona City Hall , Franklin County Clerk's Office, Wellsville City Hall , Wellsville Library and Richmond Library. Persons who apply for services at voter registration agencies may register at the following places during regular business hours: Division of Motor Vehicles Office, Franklin County Health Department, COF Training Services, Inc. and Franklin County Mental Health Clinic.

At 4:30 p.m. on the 21st day of July 2008 the books for registration will close and will remain closed until the 6th day of August, 2008.

A citizen of the United States who is 18 years of age or older, or will have attained the age of 18 years on or before the election, must register before he or she can vote. Registration is open until the close of business on the 21st day of July, 2008.

When a voter has been registered according to law, the voter shall remain registered until the voter changes name by marriage, divorce or other legal proceeding or changes residence. The voter may re-register in person, by mail or other delivery when registration is open or the voter may re-register on Election Day.

The County Election Officer or the Secretary of State upon request shall provide application forms. For an application by mail call 785-229-3410 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday or print an application by going to www.kssos.org. and mail or bring the application to Franklin County Clerk 315 S. Main Ottawa, KS 66067. The applicant under penalty of perjury shall sign the application.
